Bringing the Ontop community together to share use cases, practical insights, challenges, and best practices.
Ontop began as a research project at the Free University of Bolzano-Bozen, addressing a specific challenge: enabling organisations to query relational databases through an ontological lens without moving, copying, or transforming the underlying data.
Today, Ontop supports virtual knowledge graph applications across research institutions, enterprise data teams, and commercial systems worldwide.
The open-source Ontop project continues. It is maintained by its core maintainers, with contributions and input from the wider community.
The purpose of this webinar is to create space for the Ontop community to connect, share experiences, and learn from one another. The campaign and event are focused on community learning and engagement.
Where suitable speakers are confirmed, the webinar will include Ontop users presenting their own projects, use cases, and lessons learned. Presentation topics will be reviewed in advance. Following the event, we will publish a written summary of the main themes, questions, and next steps within one to two weeks.
Ahead of the webinar, we are running a short survey to understand how the community is using Ontop, what is working well, where challenges remain, and which topics users would most like to discuss.
Your responses will help shape the event agenda. The survey also includes an optional opportunity to express interest in presenting a use case during the webinar.
The webinar will be hosted by members of the Ontop community and project team. Confirmed hosts, technical participants, and community speakers will be announced ahead of the event.
